What we collect

Identity and contact: your email and, if Apple or Google share it, your name. With Apple's “Hide My Email” we receive a relay address.

Account: your Apple or Google account identifier, your country and your language.

Listening: which titles and chapters you play, for how long and where you stopped, with a device identifier. That's how we save your progress and learn which classics get finished.

Payments: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we keep the plan, amount, method (card or OXXO) and payment status.

Waitlist: your email, country, language and the campaign that brought you.

We don't collect sensitive personal data.

Why we use it

Required: to run your account, give you access according to your plan, take payments, sync your progress across devices and support you.

Optional: launch emails if you joined the waitlist, and aggregate statistics to decide what to produce next. Email us to opt out of these.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your data for advertising. We don't show ads. We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites. The only cookie we set keeps you signed in.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run Story, only for that purpose: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (audio storage), Vercel (web hosting), Neon (database), Apple and Google (sign-in) and our email provider. Some are in the United States.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent by emailing hola@getstory.app. We answer within 20 business days.

You can delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account) or by email. We delete your account and progress; payment records are kept, unlinked from your account, for tax obligations, and listening statistics become anonymous.

We post any change on this page and email you about important ones.
